The Town of Butner is seeking a full-time TOWN CLERK.  Position is responsible for the maintenance and safekeeping of official public records. Work involves keeping the minutes of the Council meetings and of other advisory Council meetings, and for the publication, indexing, filing and safekeeping of all Council proceedings in accordance with general statutes and local ordinances.  Work also includes serving as administrative support to the Town Manager, Mayor, and Council.  The employee works under the general supervision of the Town Manager.
