On July 11, Town Council approved the codification of the Municipal Code of Ordinances (the Town Code). The Town Code contains the laws for the Town of Butner, applicable to all events, properties and uses within the Town Limits. These laws are regulated and enforced by Town staff and Butner Public Safety. Non-substantive technical changes were made to update statutory references, numbering and punctuation, and to clarify ordinances. The Bill of Incorporation and any amendments to the bill are also included. In addition, substantive changes were made to certain ordinances. Click Town Codes for more information and to access the Town Codes. If you have any questions, please call Town Hall at (919)575-3032.

If you have a movable basketball hoop on the side of the road or any objects/structures along the edge of your property and the road, pay attention to the new section added to the Town Code! You’ll have 30 days to remove any objects/structures as of August 1st before the Town will begin the initial phase of enforcement. If you have any questions, please call Town Hall at (919)575-3032.
