Public Works

The Public Works Department provides comprehensive services for the Town and its citizens. Public Works is responsible for recreation facilities, transportation assets, support for Town events, ground maintenance, and other services as needed. Below is a list of some of the services Public Works provides for the Town.

• Maintains Town-owned streets and ditches
• Maintains Town-owned parks and recreation facilities

  • Butner Athletic Park (BAP)
  • D Street Ballfield
  • Soldiers Memorial Sports Arena (SMSA)
  • Lake Holt
• Installs decorations for special events
  • Flags (Veteran’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July)
  • Wreaths (Christmas)
