Town Receives Check for Infrastructure Study

Butner, N.C., (Oct. 25, 2023) – The Butner Town Council received a check presentation from State Representative Frank Sossamon during a special meeting at Town Hall on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2023.

Representative Sossamon presented a check totaling $500,000 to the council in recognition of and support for an infrastructure study. Funding for the study was officially approved in the North Carolina General Assembly's 2023-2025 budget. The budget appropriates $30 billion to fund a variety of projects statewide, several of which are in Granville and Vance counties.

The study will play a crucial role in the future development and progress of Butner. The council expresses their gratitude to Representative Sossamon for his generous support and interest in the future of Butner.
