CodeRED is a FREE emergency notification service provided to all residents within Granville County that will notify them of emergency information through phone calls, text messages, emails and the CodeRED Mobile Alert app. The system will be used to keep citizens informed of local events that may immediately impact your safety. Butner Public Safety and Granville County Emergency Management encourages citizens to take action and register their home, business and/or cell phone for this service and verify their location to receive targeted notifications that directly impact them. CodeRed will be used for emergencies such as missing/ endangered persons, emergency preparedness, emergency evacuation, wildfires, public health crisis, criminal activity such as escaped inmates and escaped patients.
