Granville Early College High School enables more students, particularly low-income and minority students, to experience rigorous high school and college coursework that leads to improved outcomes. Students at this school commit to five years of study in order to receive both a high school diploma and an associate’s degree from Vance-Granville Community College. An associate’s degree enables students to transfer to a 4-year college or university with up to two years of college credit. The school is located adjacent to Vance Granville Community College’s South Campus.

One of 58 institutions of the North Carolina Community College System, Vance-Granville Community College (VGCC) is the local source for higher education and training in Vance, Granville, Franklin and Warren counties. VGCC offers more than 40 curriculum programs, in which students work toward certificates, diplomas and degrees. VGCC offers a variety of continuing education programs, HSE and AHS programs. VGCC operates four campuses, one of which is located in Butner on NC Highway 56.
