Butner Public Safety Welcomes Newest Officer: PSO Leonard 'Ty' Wilson II

On Monday, April 22, 2024, Butner Public Safety welcomed its newest officer, PSO Leonard “Ty” Wilson II. The swearing-in ceremony took place at Butner Town Hall at 1:00 p.m. PSO Wilson was officially sworn in by Butner Mayor Linda Jordon. The ceremony was attended by staff, Butner Public Safety Officers, and Wilson’s family. Prior to accepting a full-time position, PSO Wilson had served as a volunteer firefighter with Butner Public Safety since 2021. PSO Wilson was previously employed with the Granville County Sheriff’s Office.
