Memorial Day Wreath Laying Ceremony
The Town of Butner is honored to host the 2024 Memorial Day Wreath Laying Ceremony, scheduled for Monday, May 27, 2024. The ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Gazebo Park, located at 416 Central Avenue, Butner, NC 27509.
The ceremony participants include keynote speaker Sallyann Marable Hobson, Mark Pace, Padre Leon of Saint Bernadette Catholic Church, Associate Pastor Blaine Britt of First Baptist Church of Butner, as well as the South Granville Jr. Reserve Officers Training Corps, the South Granville High School Band, and the Girls Scouts of America Troop 1211.
In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be relocated to the Soldiers Memorial Sports Arena in Butner to ensure the safety and comfort of all attendees.
The Town of Butner extends a heartfelt invitation to all community members to join in honoring the sacrifices of our servicemen and women this Memorial Day.
