Seeking Volunteers for 2023 Butner Summer Festival
The Butner Community Association, in partnership with the Town of Butner is holding the Butner Summer Festival (a/k/a Chicken Pickin’) on June 2 (Dance) and June 3 (Chicken cook-off/car show). Volunteers are needed for Saturday June 3 as indicated below. This is a fun way to enjoy the day’s activities and to donate a few hours to help make this annual community event a success.
As a token of appreciation, all volunteers are invited to dinner at El Rio on June 3 around 6:00 PM.
Two ways to volunteer
- Prior to event (best way to get your time/choice): Contact Council and BCA Member Judy Cheek at 919-906-7025
- Day of event: Report to BCA Member Lisa McFadden at the small stage.
Times & Duties Needed for Saturday, June 3
7-10 AM
2 volunteers - assist with car show registration
1 volunteer – Kiddie Area
2 volunteers – sell BCA raffle tickets
10 AM – 1 PM
1 volunteer – Kiddie Area
2 volunteers – sell BCA raffle tickets
1 PM – 3 PM
1 volunteer – Kiddie Area
2 volunteers – sell BCA raffle tickets
