Judy Cheek has lived in Butner NC since 2010, prior to that she and her husband lived in Belize, Central America for 2 ½ years, growing hot peppers and raising cattle. She grew up in Southern California before  moving to the east coast in 1993.

Judy has been in various positions of the retail industry starting as an associate, during college. Later going from buyer to Store Manager for various organizations, including the Coast Guard, Navy Exchange, Dillard’s and Macy’s. Her career has allowed her to travel and meet people of various cultures. Judy has her North Carolina realtors license and works with her husband in their construction company and owns other companies related to real estate/investing.

Judy is chairman of the Granville County Environmental Advisory Committee, active with the Butner Community Association, of which she was Chairman 2017/2019 and Local Emergency Planning Committee. She also works with the Butner Church Council’s food bank. Judy will be serving on the Granville Greenway Advisory Committee.
